So proud of our team this weekend!
We had 8 racers in the AOA OCUP SX races both Saturday and Sunday.
Our team took home 7 medals on Saturday: 4 silver and 3 gold!
On Sunday all 8 racers were on the podium! 1 bronze, 2 silver and 5 gold!
On Sunday during our lunch break, some of our racers decided to participate in a GS race the Sir Sam’s Challenge.
We had 9 medals in the challenge this week. Here are the results with their respective places and times:
Anna 1st 37.44
Issac 1st 34.
Ben 1st 29.65
Kieran 2nd 29.67
Logan 1st 26.34
Ezra 3rd 28.39
Kate 1st 29.34
Victoria 1st 24.09 (fastest overall time of the day, mens and womens – first time beating reigning King of the Hill Rene Serin by 6/100 of a second (24.15))
Congrats to all our racers! Amazing skiing!
Shout outs to the following racers on the results of their first GS race this season (and for some their first GS race ever):
Logan Baird and Kate Hutchison both took gold in their category!
Nate Andras and Kieran Hutchison tied for bronze!
Good work training hard in the offseason and being committed to dryland training!
Everyone has been working hard to adjust to new equipment (a lot of #atomic #redster boots and skis this year) and it is so exciting as a coach to see everyone surpass my expectations and rocking their new gear!
I can’t wait to see how everyone does at our first home SX event at Sir Sam’s this weekend!
Our regular season programs start today at Sir Sam’s!
Because of the cold weather this morning, we will be training outside with active indoor dryland breaks planned to keep everyone warm.
Be sure to consider adding mittens, hand and foot warmers and well as full face coverage to your arsenal of gear today!
See you on the slopes!
